Mersey Model 52R

My second Mersey Model Steam Engine and it was a bargain from ebay. This is a Mersey Model 52R, a slightly
later model than my 51 as it was produced at the Coopers Building factory. Although missing a few pieces,
burner, chimney, whistle and safety valve tops it's in very good condition. Video here.

Turned out that my intial assessment wasn't quite accurate. Closer inspection revealed that there was a hole
in the boiler around the whistle thread insert. So the boiler had to come apart for a patch. Anyway the
finished article doesn't look too bad. The chimney & burner are scratch built and it still needs a whistle
top. The last image is a shot with the Mersey 51.
